Sperry Van Ness/Storage Realty Closes Over $66 Million in Self Storage Sales for 2006 and Qualifies for Partner's Circle...

Sperry Van Ness/Storage Realty, an affiliate of Sperry Van Ness, one of the nation's largest commercial real estate investment brokerage firms, is pleased to announce the sale of over $66 million in self storage closings for 2006.

As a company, Sperry Van Ness/Storage Realty closed on 10, single self storage transactions in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and one portfolio sale of five properties located in the Boston/Hartford markets.

"This year represented our first full year with Sperry Van Ness and resulted in our third consecutive year of record sales volume," says Nicholas J. Malagisi, national director self storage and managing director of Sperry Van Ness.

Focusing on the Northeast region for over 25 years, Malagisi credits the growth of the Sperry Van Ness National Self Storage Team for now creating the opportunity to market self storage properties throughout the United States.

"We are now seeing properties and different types of opportunities that were not available to us before the formation of the National Self Storage Team to take to the market," says Malagisi.
